*ANNOUNCING THE 6TH EDITION OF RUN FOR ART*
*NEW TOPIC: ENVIRONMENT AND SPORT*
*A TOTAL OF 40 FINALISTS WILL BE SELECTED*
* *Now at its 6th edition, the international photography contest “Run for Art” returns with the topic “Environment and Sport.” The competition, promoted by the Giulio Onesti Foundation – Italian National Olympic Academy, is open to young photographers, both professionals and amateurs, aged between 18 and 35. Started at a national level in 2015, the contest has expanded to a global scale since its third edition. With the aim of combining art and sport through photography and creative expression, Run for Art has showcased the work of numerous young photographers around the world. Over the years, the photographs selected as finalists have been exhibited in internationally renowned locations. Participants have had the opportunity to showcase their work in exceptional venues such as the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the MAXXI Museum in Rome, the United Nations headquarters in New York, the International Mugham Center in Baku, and the Biltmore Hotel in Miami.
*A new topic “Environment and Sport” *– The topic chosen by the committee for Run for Art World’s 6th edition is “Environment and Sport”. The International Olympic Committee defines the environment as the third pillar of Olympism: sport can significantly contribute to protecting the natural environment and enhancing its resources, thanks to the values of respect, education, and sustainability that it promotes. The exceptional nature of the theme will provide ample space for the creativity of photographers, who are called upon to express, through their shots, the values of sport and its connection to art. The term “environment” will be considered in its broadest sense: not only referring to the natural environment but also encompassing the social, urban, and cultural aspects related to sports. The five categories of the competition, symbolically representing the five Olympic rings, for this 6th edition are the following: Sport and the Natural Environment; Sport and the Social Environment; Sport and the Urban Environment; Sport and the Cultural Environment; Sport and the Future Environment.
*Regulations and Online Exhibition – *Participation to the 6th edition of Run for Art is free and open to photographers, both professional and amateur, aged between 18 and 35, of any nationality. Registrations are open until 29 September 2023. The process will follow that of a real sports competition. An internationally renowned jury, representing all the sectors involved, from art to sports, from institutions to media, will select eight finalist photographs for each of the five proposed categories, totaling forty pictures. In addition to being exhibited in internationally renowned locations and on special occasions, these photographs will also become part of the “Run for Art online exhibition”. Launched in May 2021, the digital exhibition offers an exhibition journey available on the dedicated website for the initiative (runforart.com).

St. Virgil Salzburg, eines der großen Bildungszentren Österreichs, bietet in diesem Sommer zum siebzehnten Mal zwei Künstler*innen der Bildenden Kunst einen Aufenthalt im Zuge des Förderprojektes „Artists in Residence“ an.
 
Bewerben können sich alle Künstler*innen der Bildenden Kunst, die sich kurz vor oder ein bis fünf Jahre nach dem Abschluss des Studiums befinden. Nähere Details entnehmen Sie bitte dem Ausschreibungstext anbei.
 
Ende der Einreichfrist ist der 30. April 2022.

das Sehsüchte-Filmfestival sucht wieder eure Filme!
Vom 20.04. bis zum 24.04.2022 findet zum 51. Mal das Internationale Studierendenfilmfestival Sehsüchte in Potsdam-Babelsberg statt, welches zu den größten Festivals für den Nachwuchsfilm in Europa gehört.
2022 wird Sehsüchte unter dem Motto *RADIANCE*stattfinden. Mit der englischsprachigen Bezeichnung für Glanz, *Leuchten*und (Aus-)Strahlen wollen wir einerseits die Strahlkraft des jungen Kinos für die filmische und kulturelle Zukunft hervorheben, aber auch Potsdam-Babelsberg und Sehsüchte als das Epizentrum dieser filmischen Ausbreitung. Das Festival, sein Team dahinter und die Filme und Events im Programm stehen dabei für den konsequenten Blick nach vorne.

Wir rufen internationale Nachwuchsfilmemacher:innen dazu auf, ihre Filme für die folgenden WETTBEWERBSKATEGORIEN einzureichen:
* Spielfilm (ab 50 Min.) * Spielfilm kurz (bis zu 50 Min.) * Dokumentarfilm (ab 50 Min.) * Dokumentarfilm Kurz (bis zu 50 min) * Animationsfilm (alle Längen) * Future: Kids (Filme für ein Publikum ab 0 Jahren / alle Längen) * Future: Teens (Filme für ein Publikum ab 12 Jahren / alle Längen) * Fokus Produktion¹ (besondere Produktionsleistung / alle Längen) * 360° ² (ab 2 Min.)
¹ In der Sektion /Fokus Produktion/müssen zusätzlich zu der Einreichung Produktionsunterlagen (siehe Regularien) an *fokusproduktion@sehsuechte.de*gesendet werden.

Im Rahmen unserer Festivalveranstaltung Schreibsüchte wird ein Pitch!- Wettbewerb stattfinden. Das beste Film- oder TV-Stoffkonzept (Spiel- oder Dokumentarfilm, eine Serie oder ein Format), hat die Chance auf eine Auszeichnung als /Bester Pitch/.

Für die */Exhibition: Beyond the Frame/*suchen wir:
* Innovative Werkeund Ausstellungsstücke, die moderne Technologien auf kreative Weise nutzen sowohl online als auch vor Ort. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel Themen wie XR, künstliche Intelligenz, Projection Mapping, audiovisuelle Performances, sensorbasierte Systeme oder webbasierte Projekte. Wir interessieren uns besonders für Digital Media Art und neue Formen des Erzählens.

Die Gewinner:innen werden von Fachjurys ausgewählt. Für die Gewinnerfilme gibt es hohe Geld- und Sachpreise (eine Ausnahme ist die /Auszeichnung für den besten Genrefilm/, der vom Publikum ausgewählt wird).

Ana Turuntas, die letztens bei uns Diplom gemacht hat, möchte, dass wir ihr Anliegen zum Chronic Fatigue Syndrome unterstützen. Ich leite euch ihr Mail weiter.

wie versprochen möchte ich den Kontakt zur Kunstschule halten und bin nach wie vor sehr dankbar, dass ich durch die Kunstschule mein Diplom über ME/CFS präsentieren durfte. Dazu bekam ich von der Hilfsorganisation aus Österreich eine Petition, die die österreichische Bundesregierung dazu auffordert endlich Verantwortung zu übernehmen und eine angemessene Behandlung für ME/CFS Kranke zu gewährleisten und die Erforschung voranzutreiben. Alles wahnsinnig wichtige Punkte, welche ich natürlich unterstützen will! Dazu kommt natürlich die Corona Situation, die langsam zeigt das 10 bis 20% der Infizierten eine Form von ME/CFS entwickeln. All diese kommen zu den bereits bekannten 30.000 bis 80.000 ME Kranken dazu. Aus diesem Grund sende ich dir den Link zu dieser Petition in der Hoffnung er möge sich unter den Lehrenden und Studierenden schnell verbreiten und die Zahl an Unterschriften drastisch steigen lassen. www.openpetition.eu/at/petition/online/me-cfs-anerkennung-medizinische-versorgung-absicherung-von-betroffenen-sowie-forschungsfoerderung Meine Situation ist leider immer noch recht gleich. Bald bin ich offiziell 4 Monate bettlägrig, aber dank Corona kann ich dennoch weiter studieren und von meinem Bett heraus die Welt des Grafik Designs und der Japanologie erforschen. Sobald sich die Situationen bessern, freue ich mich auf ein Wiedersehen 🙂 Ich hoffe ihr seid alle gesund und die Kunst kann sich unter den Studierenden gut verbreiten.
